Is Invisalign Right For You?

Invisalign is a fantastic option for achieving the straight, confident smile you’ve always wanted without the hassle of traditional braces. These clear aligners are designed to be nearly invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

What sets Invisalign apart is its comfort and convenience. The aligners are removable, making it easy to eat your favourite foods and maintain proper oral hygiene. No more worrying about food getting stuck in your braces!

But is Invisalign the right choice for you? It’s great for various orthodontic issues like crowding, gaps, and misalignment. However, to be sure, it’s best to consult with our expert team. We’ll help determine if Invisalign aligners are the perfect fit for your unique smile goals

What is the Invisalign Process?

The Invisalign process begins with a consultation where your alignment issues are assessed, and a personalised treatment plan is created. Custom-made clear aligners are then crafted to gently shift your teeth into their desired positions. You’ll wear a series of these aligners, changing them every 1-2 weeks, and maintain them for at least 20-22 hours a day, removing them only for eating and oral hygiene.

Regular check-up appointments with your orthodontist occur every 6-8 weeks to monitor your progress and provide new sets of aligners.

Maintaining good oral hygiene is easy as the aligners are removable. After completing your treatment, a retainer is provided to keep your smile aligned. Invisalign offers a discreet and convenient path to a straighter smile, but consistency and follow-through with your orthodontist’s guidance are essential for a successful outcome.

What can Invisalign® fix?

crowded teeth

Crowded Teeth

Crowded teeth occur due to insufficient jaw space, leading to misaligned, twisted, or overlapping teeth. It makes thorough cleaning challenging, increasing the risk of dental issues like cavities and gum disease. Invisalign or braces are commonly used for correction.

Gaps Between Teeth

Gaps between teeth (diastema) create spaces where food can become trapped, potentially causing discomfort and gum problems. Dental procedures such as bonding or veneers can close these gaps for an improved smile and oral health.

underbite

Underbite

An underbite occurs when lower front teeth protrude ahead of upper teeth. It can impact both aesthetics and function, often requiring orthodontic treatment or jaw surgery.

openbite

Open Bite

An open bite is when upper and lower teeth don't meet when the mouth is closed, affecting chewing and speech clarity. Orthodontic treatments like braces or Invisalign are used to correct it.

overbite

Overbite

An overbite involves upper front teeth overlapping lower front teeth. Excessive overbites may lead to tooth wear and jaw discomfort, which orthodontics can correct.

crossbite

Crossbite

A crossbite happens when upper teeth sit inside lower teeth, potentially causing tooth wear, chipping, and gum issues. Orthodontic treatment addresses this for better alignment and oral health.

Frequently Asked Questions

The duration of treatment can vary, typically spanning from a few months to several years, contingent on the complexity of your specific case.

A minority of individuals may encounter slight discomfort or pressure when transitioning to new aligners, yet this is generally milder compared to the discomfort associated with traditional braces.

Invisalign aligners possess transparency and inconspicuousness, rendering them less conspicuous in comparison to metal braces.

Invisalign aligners should ideally be worn for 20-22 hours daily, with removal solely during meals and oral hygiene routines.

It is advisable to remove the aligners when eating or drinking anything besides water to prevent potential staining and harm.
